"LA VITA DA GRANDI" by Greta Scarano (Italy, 2025, 96’ - Italian Version)

Irene lives her life in Rome, when her mother asks her to return for a few days to Rimini, the city where she was born and from which she fled, to take care of her older autistic brother, Omar.
Once together, Irene discovers that Omar has very clear ideas about his future: he has no intention of living with her when their parents are no longer around, and he is ready to do anything to fulfill his life’s dreams. He wants to get married, he wants to have three children because 3 is the perfect number, and he wants to become a famous rap singer. But for all these things to happen, Omar must first become independent. So, with Irene, a tender and touching intensive course to become “an adult” begins. In their home full of memories, Irene and Omar face fears and hopes together and discover that, in order to grow, sometimes you need two people.
