"BRIGHTLY SHINING" by Ida Sagmo Tvedte (Norway, 2025, 91')

Ronja lives in a small apartment with her father and older sister Melissa. Christmas is just around the corner and dad is out of work, again. When Ronja helps him get a job selling Christmas trees, his luck seems to have turned. In a brief moment, the fridge is full and their loving dad smells like pine trees instead of beer. But as soon as he gets money in his hands, the temptations at the local pub “Stargate” haunt him. Once again the girls are forced to fend for themselves. Ronja is a dreamer like her father and uses her vivid imagination as both a shield and an escape.
